To answer Steven's question as well...there are lots of great places to shoot from on Sunset. The takeoff/inflight shots were taken from the west end of Sunset (@ Las Vegas Blvd) and the landing shots were taken from the east end of Sunset (@ Eastern) so I have a couple of favorite spots. Had some absolutely gorgeous weather today in Las Vegas so I spent the day hanging out by McCarran...got some pics of a nice variety of planes today in addition to a little sunburn lol.

The B-17 "Nine-O-Nine", B-24 "Witchcraft", and B-25 "Tondelayo" were at the North Las Vegas Airport today. The weather was really yucky so I tried to get some pics before the sky opened up.

Saw these same Typhoons when they were at Nellis a couple weeks ago...definitely cool!

Got to see the B-17G "Aluminum Overcast" at the North Las Vegas Airport today. I was only able to spend a short time there but was able to see it land which was way cool! :lol:

I had heard rumors of the *special* 737's making trips to Area 51...hopefully I won't be dragged into a white van by the men in suits lol. I had no idea there was such a following for them...I see them fairly regularly so I looked through my pics and here are some other ones I had.

It was windy so they had the landing pattern reversed at McCarran in Las Vegas today...found a couple different spots to shoot from which allowed some new views. A highlight was the Alaska Airlines Disney 50th Anniversary 737 with Tinkerbell...definitely a great scheme! Tinkerbell! B)

Had a day off so I spent the afternoon near McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas... I was stoked about the last one...got the 747 passing Mandalay Bay and the snow on the mountains!

Had a day off so I hung out at the Boulder City Airport (south of Las Vegas near the Hoover Dam) and visited a Mercy Air medevac base. Enjoy!

I thought this might be a good place to start since the photographers seem to hang out here! I'm planning on investing in a good lens for my Canon Digital Rebel.
