HL-10 started following Fokker Friendship/Fairchild F-227, Sea Harrier FRS-1 1/24th scale. and UFO's SkyDiver.

The Airfix 24th scale Harrier has been around since the early seventies. It was re-issued with new parts to allow it to be built as the FRS-1. For it's Size it is a basic kit, with basic detail in the cockpit, and other detail sacrificed for working features. I decided to have a go at updating my model. I got hold of Flightline's extensive etched set plus some resin parts from Heritage aviation. Heritage aviation's stuff was a big disappointment! Poor casting finish, rough surfaces, air bubbles and the mould were obviously past their best. The Intakes and whe

Looking for some help/advice please I would like to convert the Airfix Fokker Friendship / Fairchild F-27 to the longer F-227. I know that they stretched the fuselage by 1.83m, but having trouble finding out precisely where they inserted the extra bit. Anyone have any information regarding this please? Many thanks, Angelo

I grew up watching Gerry Anderson's shows, Stingray, Thunderbirds, & Captain Scarlet. I have the Dinky SPV, but always wanted a bigger model. Fortunately Studio2 Models produced a "Studio Scale" model (about 1/16th) in fibreglass & resin. I scratch built the interior and converted a toy figure into Captain Scarlet. Thanks for looking 🙂

Hi, Does anyone have the crew figures that come with the Airfix 1/24th scale Ju87 B Stuka which they do not need? Thanks 🙂

Cracking job mate! That kit is a monster! You've done a fantastic piece of modelling

I'm not usualy a fan of "What Ifs" schemes, but this one does appeal to me. The Eagle looks good in S.E.A. cammo, and I like the way it's been backdated by swapping the ACES seats for an earlier type. Excellent work!

This is an out of the box build of the Airfix 48th scale Sea Vixen. Painted with Humbrol enamels. Thanks for looking.

WOW! An amazing looking project. It wouldn't look out of place in "Captain Scarlet" or "Joe 90". Very impressive. -
I have started work on this set. The etched parts have clear fold lines, and the parts are of a good thickness so there is virtually no distortion when folding the parts: This is a dry fit of the brass parts and my scratch built parts. The seats are well designed, and although they appear complicated, they fold well and fit together neatly: The centre console and overhead switch panel have brass detail parts too: .

Received my set. Very impressive! Not just etched brass, but plastic rod & blocks, wire, clear film, and a CD withthe instuctions and The Gemini technical manuals plus reference photos!!!! Well worth it!

I built this a while back. I added Belcher Bits engines, smooth tyres, and their 4000lb "Cookie",as the kit one was under sized, and I added a photo etch set from Flight Path, which included the flaps. I replaced the small bomb aimer's blister with the later large version from Falcon and I moved the radio opperator's window aft to the correct location. The model was painted with Humbrol enamels, and is in the markings of 166 Squadron
