a-10 1/48 A-10C Thunderbolt II - Operation Inherent Resolve
Lasinaatti posted a topic in In-Progress Pics
Hey y'all! Time for another Hog. After almost a month, I finally got my hands on the Academy A-10C. Well... sort off. It's actually a Hobby 2000 boxing of the same molds with some much cooler decals - Hogs, that took part in Operation Inherent Resolve fighting against the Islamic State, 2017-ish. Local store said Academy aren't producing this set much for some reason. Don't know how true that is but I'm happy I got this one. There's some great pictures of the tail numbers in the decals with plenty of kill markings, unique weathering and of cour- 25 replies

Hello fellow modelers, This project had started from the April, but due to my limited time the progress was very slow and I didn't managed to post earlier. The kit I chose was Eduard's Fw 190 D-9 Late #8189 profi pack. I started assembling the first parts (cockpit, some gun bay parts, gears etc.) and then I continued with the priming. Afterwards I painted the cockpit and cockpits sidewalls with AK true metal silver, I used this layer as a base for the chipping. Then I painted using mostly AK's 3rd gen colors. Unfortunate

I was eagerly awaiting this chopper, but it was due out over a year ago and I haven't heard a peep about in many, many months. Does anyone know what the status is or is this one dead on the vine? Rick

As the title suggests, I would appreciate hearing from those that have seen the actual plastic, as to what the differences are between the two boxings of ICM MiG-25 recon kits? TIA, Rick

I just received the new injection molded Italeri 1 48th H-21C Shawnee. The kit is superlative, the detail is very nice and even includes cabin and radial engine detail. The kit decals feature markings for U.S. Army, Air Force & Marines versions, as well as a French version. There is even a p.e. fret that offers seat belts and screens for the engine compartment. Overall a very nice kit, which renders the F.M. and Special Hobby releases of this same helo redundant imo. Pictures to follow after the holiday.

It seems that HpH once released a 48th scale B-36, which is just crazy in and of itself! However, they now plan to re-release said monster, as an "upgraded kit" and it will probably retail for around $400! My dream would be to build one of these, along with an XF-85 Goblin parasite fighter. The only problem is that completed combo would take up my entire living room! Talk about a "man-cave." http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235010574-148-convair-b-36-peacemaker-fiberglas-kit-by-hph-future/ Rick
