Mark S.
Gents: What would the loadouts be for targeting pod equiped F-16s during ONW and OSW? Mixed loads of LGB's and Mk-82's in the slant two configuration or single GBU-12's on the pylons themselves? Mark

jmel
Guys, keep in mind that ONW and OSW began in 1991, following the 1st Gulf War. There's been a ton of changes to pods and ordnance since that time. What timeframe are you looking for, Mark? Jake
Mark S.
Jake: What I'm looking for is the mid to late 90's. I have done a F-16CG of the 69th FS, 347th FW. Mark Edited March 27, 2007 by Mark S.
jmel
I would go with a load of both LANTIRN pods (nav and targeting), ALQ-184 on the centerline, and MK. 82 dumb bombs on TERs in a slant-2 load. F-16s also flew a lot of pure air-air missions during the mid-90s with 4 AIM-120s and 2 AIM-9Ms. Jake
jmel
The block fiddy loads are correct for the mid-late 90's. The block 40's as well. Except for the Sniper, GBU-31, CBU-103, GBU-38, and AN/ALE-50, which weren't in service yet. Jake
Pete "Pig" Fleischmann
F-16s also flew a lot of pure air-air missions during the mid-90s with 4 AIM-120s and 2 AIM-9Ms. Jake Yes. 4X2Xgun was my personal favorite-and the config for my Block 42 that is wrapping up over on the "in Progress" forum. With this load we carried 2X 370 gal tanks and a -119 pod. Regards, Pig
