Rick in Maine
I got Gunze Aqueous Midnight Blue...looks too gray. Looking for suggestion for what paint to use for glossy sea blue i.e. USMC in Korea on Trumpeter's F4U-4. Prefer acrylic, can use anything else. Can be flat and I'll make it glossy. That's why we use Future, huh? Thanks Rick in Maine

I prefer the enamel, mainly because I've got a lot more experience with it and can get a more consistent result but I've used the acrylic version also with success. DrewH
You may want to try Xtra color acrylics DSB. It's a near perfect match to MM DSB enamel and can be masked over in 15 minutes. I got mine from Two bobs for 3 bucks a bottle. And as I recall, shipping is free.
Old Blind Dog
Well, not to make this even more confusing than it already is. . .but I've used Polly Scale US Navy Sea Blue with PS Clear Gloss and find it excellent! So far I've done an F4U-1D Corsair, an F6F-5 Hellcat and an F8F Bearcat. . .gorgeous results (it also makes an excellent automotive color!) That would be my recommendation if you can get it! Joe Hegedus
See what happens when you ask for an opinion, Rick? Bottom line is to try them and see which YOU like best.
