It is sad view that are not flying, but sometime, it would be nice to see those proud birds fly again!! :whistle:

Hoping to visit that place next year. I have noticed two things:

1: Those pics confirms that early UB's also had the early stinger. I wasn't sure before.

2: I have always thought that the early stinger meant no flares at all. But those holes seems to be for flares:

Good pics at those links. I'm guessing those are older Flankers as they have the green noses.

It is not a rule, but generally older ones have green dielectric color. i think that is what color they have in stock, they paint with it!

Yes there is some, very early UBs with early stingers!

I think that all of those aircraft waiting for overhaul, or for better days in Ukraine! Look on hidraulical cylinders: they are on all aircraft sealed in paper, and all openeings are protected, i think just waiting their turn for overhaul! Those aircraft don't have to much flying hours!
