Antoine
Hi! Started at the same time as the D-520, was this little car, found in the same box: Still in my "finish what's been started" trip, and with something at the back of my head. Here I was when I reopened the bow this morning.
Antoine
Masking the windows: - Put the tape in place. - Put the windows in place in the car. - With a sharp blade (A new one), you just have to cut the tape following the window's edges. And you got your masks.
Antoine
The board is painted black (no, I didn't see a red door!), with small touches of grey. The wheel is painted cream (Bakélite color, in fact. At least I've tried) The interior is given a black wash. And then a drybrush with a very light shade of brown, or sand. Antoine
The overall paint will be German grey, so the rim are prepared to be painted in the same colors. Oh, I forgot to tell that it'll be a Luftwaffe car. The hull, ready to be painted.
Antoine
Pre-shading, with flat black from gunze. Then another coat of very diluted german grey, so as not to hide completely the pre-shading. Then, one (Maybe two?) drop of white straight in the brush, to lighten the center of larger panels. Let it dry, then there will be a Klir coat (Future), and decaling, before going on with the weathering.
Antoine
Decals are on, with small touches of paint (Lights, etc...) Then a coat of klir, and next will be the weathering, with wash, drybrushing and so on.
Antoine
After 24h, the klir is completely dry, and I've added a black wash to underscore the structure line. Not really evident with the pics, due to the dark color of the vehicle...
Huey Gunner
As usual, gorgeous work Antoine. I've been intrested in those 1/48 vehicles Tamiya's been putting out. Just the price of them scaring me away.
Antoine
I'd get this one as you've seen with the D-520. I wanted a D-520, and this was the only box available, so... But I don't regret it, and in fact I think it's a good idea from tamiya to offer those packages. Since then, I've also bought Me-262/Kettenkraftrad, MiG-15/GAZ, P-51D/Staff car, and Mosquito NF.II/Tilly. You just have to try...
Antoine
The pics speak for themselves. A little bit of dusting to do, then it'll be over.

Graemeb
Very Very nice, looks stunning and well finished , especially in that scale, and not a very common subject. G
Antoine
Thanks a lot Graeme. But still, I'm not really really satisfied, as you can see that my hand was a little bit heavy during the mapping/pigment session... It'll be better next time!
