jjuwana
Good day guys, I'm building the Tamiya 1/48 Avro Lancaster, but there are some questions I'd like to ask you guys - Are there any open windows on either sides of the a/c, the color instruction shown that those are painted over, while the finished model pic shown there are still there. - I'm gonna use Tamiya's flat earth and dark green for the camo is it OK ? The a/c I'm building is from B.I R5868 PO/S Thanks for the info guys Regards JJ
DonSS3
While I'm not a fan of Tamiya paints, they should work out ok. Did a search for some photos of R5868 and found these, they should help with determining the answer to your fuselage window question: http://images.google.com/images?as_q=r5868...ges&as_st=y

peebeep
Here's pics of 'Sugar' as she stands in the RAF museum: The windows are not just over-painted, they don't appear to have ever been fitted. peebeep
centaur567
Hi . I built this kit yrs ago. Just remember that when aliging the wings to keep the inner wings level with each other. If you mate them up to the fusalage as engineered it will have a corsair look to it. I had to fix mine after building and a contest when the defect was pointed out. Also good luck with the engine panels. I left the engine out. Gary
