MarkW Posted February 20, 2011 Share Posted February 20, 2011 Don't forget the Academy kit lets you extend the main bay weapons rails too. While the Hase rails and bays are real gems, the AIM-120s don't extend to firing. The Academy main bay is good enough, the sides bays are weak, but covered by the AIM-9M. F4DPhantomII Posted February 20, 2011 Share Posted February 20, 2011 I have 2 early Academy kits with the nose problems and one Hasegawa.I wouldn't know the difference in the old or newer Academy kits by the box.They are the same kit number and boxtops, right? My only complaint with the Academy kit was the canopy part that didn't fit and the main landing gear setup besides the nose.What is the best way to fix the early Academy kit noses?
