Shawn M
Looks like an end of war bird all chipped up. I'd weather the cowling a bit more to match the fuselage wear. Edited August 17, 2010 by Shawn M
camophilip
Thanks guys. Shawn, maybe you're right. I haven't done any research, it was just a fun built. But I heard the Japanese had problems with the green paint. Don't know if they had issues with gray and black as well...
airrex
Thanks guys. Shawn, maybe you're right. I haven't done any research, it was just a fun built. But I heard the Japanese had problems with the green paint. Don't know if they had issues with gray and black as well... First let me say you have done a beautiful job. You have made a simple kit look great. You chipping technique is excellent. Research wise I do disagree about the quality of paint on Japanese Naval Aircraft. The paint on Zero's was a very good paint as good as any. Also the planes were primed. Japanese Navel Aircraft had good paint. I have not researched Japanese Army as much. I do believe that the common belief that "All Japanese paint was bad" is inaccurate. But I certainly don't want to start a debate. I would refer anyone interested to jaircraft.com and the straggler websites for more info. Most improtantly, this is a great build. airrex
