MarioK
1 - Hasegawa option - no other: you'll need a D boxing for a Peten and Isracast resin conversion for a Saraf 2 - Italeri or Revell - same plastic different boxes  - if you find a Heliborne resin cockpit you're good to go 3 - Italeri - either box will give you a Whiskey. Zulu boxing comes with parts for a prototype model and is not too accurate for a real Z. No nice kit exist (yet?). Kit comes with raised panel lines for a heads up if you already don't know this 4 - Italeri again - A nice kit, not sure of any aftermarket set for this one These kit are the only ones except for the Apache. Really invest in the Hasegawa one as all other need a lot of work to get it to any representative level

If you're looking to build a Saraf (AH-64D-I) the Isracast set is excellent. The only drawback is that the resin set is almost as much as the Hasegawa kit. As for the Ka-50, the Italeri kit is the only game in town for 48th scale. I've heard it is a pretty decent kit. AH-1W/Z - the Italeri AH-1Z kit is the W kit with an extra sprue of plastic to make the AH-1-4BW, which was effectively a Whiskey with a 4 bladed main and tail rotor. There is no accurate model of the AH-1Z right now. You can use the Z kit as a starting point, since the main rotor and wings are similar to those of the Z, but you'll have a LOT of scratchbuilding to do. The kit is pretty good for an early AH-1W, but does not have the NTS-upgraded nose. My solution to that was to graft the nose of a Fujimi AH-1S on to it, which works fairly well. The Italeri Tiger is pretty good from what I've heard. I got one of the early kits and didn't really like it, but I've heard the later issues are a lot better. Cobrahistorian
Also, I dont think there is anything for Mi-28, right? Not in 48th. The Revellogram Mi-24 kit is pretty good, and of course their AH-1F kit is great!
