One other trick - if you have trapped air pockets in a few areas, take a very sharp, narrow pin (or tip of a new x-acto blade) and gently puncture the decal. Then hit it with setting solution. That usually works for me. On a related note, I'm intrigued about those suggestions to use Future as a setting solution for stencils to avoid silvering. Despite multiple coats of future, microsol, etc, I have always had issues with stencils silvering a bit. Has anyone here used this technique? I'd be very interested in some feedback. Avus Posted August 4, 2011 Share Posted August 4, 2011 In addition to what already has been said in the original thread I can add that I use a water-vinegar mix to dip the decals in and then Micosol to set them. Of course it depends on the decals, but so far it has worked a charm with the exception of Airfix decals (Bf109) and Academy decals(MH-60). Quote Link to post Share on other sites
