nimrod77
Amazing pics, Thanks so much for sharing! If only a photo etch manufacturer would come up with a set of replacement vents for the Nacelles on the 1/48 Blackbird.....

Neptune48
Here are some more photos for anyone wanting to superdetail a Blackbird. Here's a longer shot of the nose gear well with a better view of the uplock assembly, which also actuates the doors. Forward nose gear bulkhead and a closer view of the uplock assembly. And for those seeking a really big challenge, check the plumbing on the right bulkhead of the nose gear well. The perforated metal at the bottom of the frame is the inside of the nose gear door. Would anyone be interested in walkaround photos of the AC-330 start cart, maybe on its own thread? If so, please let me know.
nimrod77
Sure! The more blackbird refs the better as far as I'm concerned!
majortomski
Great shots! The first time I ever sat in one there were big signs on the hangars, "No photograpy allowed, use of dealy force authorized!" and the big german shepard panting in my ear was going to guarantee I didn't even think about touching my camera.
