Paolo Portuesi
Ciao, Some days ago, soon after I finished my P-40, and in the while these two babies keep sitting on my workbench: I took the decision to build a Tamiya Beaufighter. Everything was there, look: And I was very ready to go, when I felt the need to go back to my Classic Arframes Defiant: It was the last one in this post of short than one year ago: ((Kits on my workbench... ):)/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/> So, after some work I was very colse to call it done: When a DISASTER struck! Do you see the dirty glass just there in the middle of the next pic? Well, I need it for cleaning my brushes, and to wash some of my models. It was late in the night when I manage to get that dirty green glass falling down on my Defiant! At first I just wanted to my kit away and go to the sleep. Most of the paint job was gone but, looking twice, I noticed that the cockpit and the clear parts are were spared. Removing the undercarriage legs was easier than I thought. At that point I felt no other choice than working on my Defiant giving it a new pain job, new decals, new life. Look: Stay tuned ! stevehnz
Bummer. :( You've got a great attitude though Paolo & I'm sure we'll get to see a great model out of this. I'll be looking back in here with enthusiasm. :) Steve.
Paolo Portuesi
The recovering of this kit isd going faster than I hoped. This kit is becoming rare and I spent a fortune on eBay to get one last year. Here it is, some pic of my "reborn" Defiant follows, this time against a dark background: What do you like the best? The dark or the light background? One very last thing, I have a Facebook page, please fell free to check it !
Paolo Portuesi
Hi, As you can see in the next pictures, cockpit is fine. Look: Landing gear in position: New Falcon vacuumformed turret and Master barrels: And now, check my next post !
Paolo Portuesi
Here it is my Calssic Airframes, in its second life. Plese let me know what you do not like. Criticism is always welcome by me, it helps improvment. At the end, I decided against building the Beufighter. I went for something else. Check Fabebook at my name. . . stevehnz
Wow Paolo, that is really wonderful, superb modelling in the truest sense. Steve.
Fishwelding
Excellent save of a worthwhile project. The Defiant is an interesting historical airplane, so the effort to salvage the build was well worth it. Total success.

Joel_W
Paolo, Wow!! what a great save. Absolutely a near perfect repaint and decaling. As a matter of fact, your decaling looks like all of it was masked. Not a drop of flash. Every panel line runs right through the appropriate marking. Even your green house and turret masking is 100% dead on. Joel
