Ben Brown
Hi All, Looking into replacing the chunky pitot tube on the Kitty Hawk Jaguar T.2's nose with something a little more petite. Is the probe on the Jaguar A the same as that used on the T.2? I see Quickboost and Master Model make replacements for the A kit's probe. Thanks! Ben
onescale
Hello Ben, to me the pitot tube on the French Jaguar A and the T.2/T.4 look the same. I also think the GR.1/GR.3 use a slightly longer version (?) of the same pitot tube. I'm using the Master Model pitot tube for my T.2. Best regards, Jens
Chunkymonk
Is the Kitty Hawk model based on the UK or French version of the 2 seater? The French one uses the nose probe for AAR whereas the UK one doesn't I'll check the lengths when I get home for comparing the Uk twin with the French Single. Chunkymonk
Hi, from what I can see the Probe is the same as the French and Brit single seat but the nose cone it's mounted on looks like a different profile, I'll check the length tonight Edited February 26, 2015 by Chunkymonk
Ben Brown
Thanks! If the A's and T.2's probes are the same diameter and general length, I can blend the Master Models one into the kit nose. Also, the KH kit is the British version, with no provision for the French jet's starboard gun. Ben
