Ignition Wires

Recommended Posts

What are you guys using for ignition wires on your builds? I'm frustrated with trying to use painted copper wire.

I haven't used the stuff available from Detail Master yet and was wonder how that was.

That is just rubber coated soft wire. easy enough to use.... What is the issue painting it? To me that is a breeze....

I was trying to use striped phone wire but it is actually a bit stiff a I'm finding it a little difficult to keep fixed while bending into place.

I was wondering if the Detail Master stuff was worth the cost.

I love to use wire-wrap

It comes in black, red, yellow, green, etc

Very easy to bend, comes in handy for detailing gear etc

Wire wrap is used in the hi-fi world. You have a small instrument (cable wire-wrap tool driver) which wraps the wire on a voltage-pin. It seemed a better grip than solder.

You can find it the USA for sure!

Lead wire from sporting good store that sells fly tying supplies.

Available in different sized, easy to bend and look great, often available for under $5.00 for a single spool!

Just Another option!
