bartkoh
Hi All, Does anyone know if the Ophir LOROP pod exists in 1/72 scale?
Stephen
AFAIK , the only one is in 1/32 scale from Isracast.

Sorry I can't answer your question but I just wanted to say that your picture is interesting and would make a good modelling project: A single seat F-15 with CFTs, armed with Pythons, AIM-7s(?) as well as the recce pod. bartkoh
The EL/M-8222 ECM pod is also fitted mostly on the left front-mounting point of the CFT

I was toying with the idea of modifying the LOROP pod included in the 1/72 Hasegawa RF-4E combo

But I'm not sure how to go about it: vs https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fimg33.imageshack.us%2Fimg33%2F4962%2Fophirnew13.jpg&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.fresh.co.il%2FvBulletin%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D313915&docid=RGytccVjnVOwLM&tbnid=iu79bnq8ARsNJM%3A&vet=10ahUKEwjWyMDKyIbgAhUKiXAKHXbKAIYQMwg-KAcwBw..i&w=800&h=480&hl=en&bih=544&biw=1280&q=Ophir LOROP&ved=0ahUKEwjWyMDKyIbgAhUKiXAKHXbKAIYQMwg-KAcwBw&iact=mrc&uact=8 🤔
ST0RM
Simply an interested bystander, so I started some Googling. The pod from the OP is the Ophir. And from the Isracast example and few pictures, you could scratch build one from a 600 gal tank and add the slab sides (milliput and styrene) and use black decal for the window. In 1/72, it should look the part nicely.
Zweispeer
I found out, that the 2021 1/72 Fine Molds RF-4EJ, Kit-No. FP42, has three Reconnaissance Pods, including one LOROP. Excellent moldings btw.
