Curt B
Hi All, This may have been asked previously, but I couldn’t find anything…. What is the best book about the F-86, preferably focusing on the later variants like the F-86F? What I really want is a book that has the best detail photographs. airmechaja
If you're looking for great combat pictures this book is tops: F-86 Sabes of the 4th Fighter Interceptor Wing by Osprey. All color pics also.
Curt B
Thank you, sir! Yes, combat pictures are great and useful, for sure! In addition, I’d like a book that focuses on details of the plane, from a modeler’s perspective, showing details that a modeler could duplicate during model builds. Mr.Happy
If I may make a suggestion. If you can find this book and it’s not priced too high it’s worth it. If your interest this may help your search: Title: MIG ALLEY Sabres vs MiG’s Over Korea Author: Warren E. Thompson and David R. McLaren Publisher: Specialty Press I.S.B.N. # 1-58007-058-2 Good luck in your project, Mr. Happy
