Mike
Now that I've got you'r attention (you didn't really think I'd get a WIldcat and P-40 mixed up did you?) this is Academy's P-40 built OOB and finished as Geoff Frisken's "Wairarapa Wildcat". Not a bad little kit, but the rear glazing panels are rather peculiar they only fit one way round, but the glazing bars are raised something horrible - like they should be on the inside. Anyone else come across this? I may rip them out and change them still... As for the colour, it ain't no OD that's for sure - I can't remember what I used (I though it was OD at the time) but it just don't look right. Too bad, I'm not gonna change it now. I, too, would love 48th decals for this plane. moeggo - if you find anyone willing to make 'em - see if they'll do a couple and we can split the cost? Very very nice model. Damn fine job. APPLAUSE!!
