Shark Posted March 28, 2006 Share Posted March 28, 2006 (edited) same kit as the Italeri kit. the kit was modeled after a demo KA50 for some air show and includes anthenas for the prototype. you have to research the net to find the pics of this bird in action over Chechnya to moel a front line helo. the decals are also for the demo helo. aftermarkets are available from Propagteam in Russia for the Black Shark helo. no cockpit or seat aftermarket available. SEE BELOW. SEAT AVAILABLE BY NeOmega, AND PE BY Edward. the kit's rotor is modeled so that in real life, the propelers could not move. a quick search in ARC can bring the pics Zmey posted that detail the rotor area. it can be argued by some that this helo never really became a production helo as only a few were built and so they can all be concidered prototypes. but it actually has already seen action in Chechnya (real action, not just loitering at the edge of the battlefield), so it can also be argued that it was a limited run plataform so in conclusion, find a pic of a KA50 that you want to build, and scratch build the detail neede to get the kit to look like the pictures. otherwise, it looks real good once built!
