Falcon053
For those that are familiar with Hill AFB, the orange and white F-16A west gate guard has been removed from it's post and is currently back on the ground. I caught it yesterday and got some shots of it. Not to worry, I talked with some of the people that were moving it around and they said it's just down for a new paint job and to chase away the uninvited guests that have taken up residents in her, a.k.a. Utah wasps. Duane
Keith Diamond
wow, didn't know it could be moved so easily once displayed. Reminds me of seeing pics of the F-16 at Shaw's memorial lake being towed to it's display location.
Pete "Pig" Fleischmann
Whoa! ...What a great view of the closed Pratt Nozzle. Seeing as the jet is pretty accessible now, any chance of getting some more shots of the closed nozzle? Typically it's not easy to get up close to the nozzle when it is closed...a bit hot and noisy. Great pic! Thanks! Pig
RockyController
From what I have heard they are not painting it in the orange and white scheme but will paint it grey w/ 388fw markings. So much for "Little Precious" maintaining her test wing colors.
Falcon053
WHAT!!! I can't believe they would do that...well it is Hill AFB so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Just goes to show you better get photo's of everything because it will probably be gone tomorrow. If it is true, it will be a really great loss. Duane
