gb_madcat_sl
Hi all, I'm currently building an F-14D Tomcat but have wrongly cemented the Sparrow pylons on the wing-glove pylon. Now the 2 parts are stuck and I can't get them apart. So I was just wondering if anybody has spart pylons? Thanks! Regards, Mark
Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
What kit, what scale? I'm assuming Hasegawa by the fact you had to attach the two parts....
Daniel_B
Are you putting a LANTIRN on the starboard side pylon? If so, then you should have an extra AIM-7 adapter. Take a razor saw or Dremel and cut them apart, making the cut on the adapter-side of the seam. Then sand the remains of it away from the pylon and put the new one on there. If you're building a pre-'97 or -'98 Cat and are putting Sparrow adapters on both sides, I've got extras on the adapter pieces you can have. PM me your address if you want 'em. gb_madcat_sl
Yup. It's the Hasegawa kit. 1/48.
tomcatter727
Before you put it to the saw, try this if you havent already. Put it in the freezer and let it get nice and cold, then try to break the part off. The trick has worked great for me.
