P-38 guy
she'll be OD green over grey....and what in the world does " Putt Putt *****" mean? ***** means ship in this case so you get Putt Putt Ship. The Japanese named their merchant ships ***** and he was just making a joke if I remember the story right. OD over gray, any info on markings or is that secret for the time being? The 459th FS Twin Tailed Dragons would make for some sharp markings. Mike

BigJets
Beautiful shots, thanks for posting the album. Do you have any more of the gun bay? I know someone who's doing a Lightning, who'd also really like to see some shots of the rear bulkhead. I'm sending him this link, if you have any more shots of that bulkhead would you be willing to share? Thanks again, BJ
Slartibartfast
The coolant exchangers look to have boundary layer control fore and aft of each pod. Is that so or is it merely a manufacturing or maintenance artifact?

I'll be back. Greg. Edited May 12, 2007 by TF51GREGWISE

P-38 guy
At least you don't have to work on it in these kind of conditions. 27th PRS/7th PRG Mike

Sounds like a 20th Fighter Group, 55th Fighter Squadron paint scheme like the Fighter Collection's old "California Cutie" or the "Stardust" scheme on the P-38L in the Air Force Museum. If so I applaud your choice! Cheers! Syd
