LST01
Hi everybody!! the time has finally come! A double build (DoubleDutch) of Trumpeters Su-27 1:32 !! This double Build is brought to you by M&M (Rob) and LST01 (Laurens) :D . This is one (or should I say two) build which will be finished over the following months. The target is Scale Modelworld 2006 in november. don't say that it's a long way from now because we are already in the second week of march! We already started with some small bits and pieces but we decided to build this project together. Both (trying) to work on the same parts or sub assemblies of the kit. We're pretty sure we'll enjoy this build and we hope you will enjoy it too! To give you an idea, here is the list of all the goodies which we'll use: - Kit - Zactogoodies - Lindenhill goodies - Aires goodies - Quickboost missile pylons and missiles (well, I suggested it on the website so maybe we'll be lucky ;-) ) - Eduard goodies (won't use them but it's my personal opinion to buy everything there is to buy for the kit and sell it afterwards :D ) We'll try to update this thread as much as possible (with pictures offcourse) and we'll dedicate our scalemodelling time for 100% (....well, make that 80% because we have to visit some shows, shops and IPMS gatherings ) to this project. Hope you'll enjoy it! Cherio! Laurens and Rob. :) ps: first pics will be posted tonight! Edited March 8, 2006 by LST01

LST01
Ok ok, here is my pit ;-) I have to add the left backing of the instrument panel and I also have to correct the left side of the panel. I'm not too happy with the paintjob. I used my own mix for the blue (xf2 + xf18) and I added a very very diluted wash off white spirit and humbrol black. After this I blended oil colors with the blue. This way I can light it up a bit. Cherio! Laurens ps: I also have to paint the switches of the main pit offcourse. But I also noted that 2 broke off

LST01
Instrument panel is almost finished! Just a few corrections to do tonight (although it is far from perfect so I have to brush up on the detail painting). I'll also paint the wires and tubes of the pit. I think they used black, grey and white wiring. Cheers! LS
LST01
And another one of the instrument panel.

LST01
Another one for today! I'll try to finish the wiring tomorrow. I used humbrol and water to paint the wires.....well, I have to admit it took a while before I discovered the mistake  But they do mix....very shortly I didn't paint the wires completely because the shading of the black makes it stand out. Looks ok in realtime but not in the pictures :D Cherio!

LST01
...The wiring appears to be green or darkgreen with Khaki foudrals Nice to se some Dutch guys at work ... The name Wasserfall seems to be German, but i'm Dutch too I think I'll add some khaki and green colors too. I have to say that, when the cockpit is in the fuselage, the white wires really stand out in the dark pit. I'll try it tonight or tomorrow evening. Dutch too? Where is your flanker? Member of the ipms btw? Cherio!! ps: Going to Flanders next weekend?

LST01
Small update for today! I'll try to improve the quality of the pictures and to make them look more like actually seeing the pit in realtime. FWB is in progress too! I saw some pictures on the upandaway thread of a grey fwb. I think I'll go for grey instead of the mix of xf20 and xf59. More tomorrow! Cheers! Laurens
