  1. How's this Grant, Two scratchbuilt 1/48 Saturn V's, the first (In the cabinet) took a little over three weeks to build (See a revious ARC article on that one, whereas the second, even more detailed version, took a little over 8 months! (That's a more normal time I think). The second one is being shipped out to a customer next week in the US from down here in Australia. BTW, my business, Scaledown, sponsors the Real Space category in our State Modelling Championships (Queensland, Australia) Stephen Thrum Scaledown
  2. Sorry to hear of your dissappointment in the afterburner cans. As others may have mentioned, please be wary of Ebay "rip-offs of my products. If possible, can you please photograph the products you purchased and email them to me at scaledown@hotmail.com. I do no tlet my moulds get to a bad state before replacing them, and also be warned, Scaledown is NOT limiting production, nor are any of my sets "Rare" or "Out of Production". Regards, Stephen Thrum
  3. Hi West, I guess that request would suit the vacant slot in my F-111 accessories (I have a spare spot listed as SDA48047 in the 1/48 range and SDA72047 in the 1/72 range.) That would be a relatively quick thing to master up - although there are the soft covers and hard covers, and then there are the covers to suit the Academy kit, and then my enlarged TPII intake set (coming out very very soon!) etc etc. Let me know if you are interested. Cost would probably be around US$10.00 for the set, including postage. Cheers, Stephen
  4. Hey Dave, If you have that many F-111 projects in mind, I will certainly try and do my best to help you out with pricing! I myself have over 55 F-111 kits sitting on the shelf waiting to be built! These represent most of the F-111 model kits produced, ranging in scale from 1/144 through to a whopper at 1/33. Still a number on the wish list to get, including 1/700, an F-111B in 1/48 by Aurora, a few of the elcheapo korean knock-offs etc. As to the often heard complaint of "too-expensive-to-buy" - some modellers should stick their hand deep into their own hip pockets and see just how much it c
  5. Hi Ves, My 1/144 wing set isn't available yet (It will be the full flaps/slats job as per 1/48), however my good friend and casting Guru, Greg Anderson, from Ozmods has a set out for a clean wing long span F-111 wing. You can contact him on ozmods@bigpond.net.au Hope that is helpful, Regards, Stephen Thrum Scaledown
  6. To build the RAAF's F-111G, as Dave has replied, you will need to start with the Academy F-111C (kit no.1674) or FB-111A (kit no. 1648) kits to obtain the long span wings. However, I produce a multitude of F-111 accessories in 1/48, including a set of Long span wings/flaps/slats (Set SDA48001). If this set is purchased, then any F-111 kit may be used as the kit wings will be left off. Be aware too, that the F-111G also features different intakes, known as Triple Plow II. These are included in the Academy kits, and can be easily identified by the three blow in doors on the outer surface. Anoth
