Well after having my airbrush go u/s on me the other night i've finally finished banging my head off the wall and started doing some of the other bits that i can do before a coat of paint is required.... AIM-120, just waiting for a coat of future before it gets weathered (a little) Also needs a touch up on the grey. GBU-38, again needs a coat of future and the cone painting black/copper. Front u/c bay, i know the pipes are probably (more than likely) in the wrong place, but it makes the thing look a little busier.

A pair of silver Spitfires - FINISHED !
Hurricane363 replied to Matt's topic in The Spitfire Group Build
Looking good!!!!! I like the idea for painting the cockpits! Keep it up. Mat -
The funny thing is...... They aren't worth having fitted in the first place. The only thing they stop going down the engine are 'particles' the size of small elephants. But the above post is correct, those EAPS are missing quite a lot of detail... Mat

That would have to be a yes. Mat

Recently (like last night) my airbrush went kaput, it has ceased to be, it is no longer working... And has summerily been sent to the great airbrush heaven (or maybe hell). I put it to you, the great unwashed.... What airbrush should i get to replace it? Badger?Iwata?Aztec?...... My main plus point for any airbrush is for it to be easy to clean. Help!! Mat

-What color should the fire extinquisher bottles be? (I painted them red per instructions) They are Oxygen bottles, so they should either be silver or interior green. -What color should the headrest be (painted black for now) Black is fine, however i would use dark green (same colour as the seat back rest) -Rudder pedals? (I painted Aluminum) Some are painted green, with a leather strap accross the top. -Oxygen Bottle (I painted white)- should this have a oxygen hose and mask comming out of it? Only oxy hose would be connected to the bottle, the mask would be part of -

"Eagle Squadron" Spitfire Mk IIA
Hurricane363 replied to Rampage55's topic in The Spitfire Group Build
With reference to the gaps around the wing root where the engine cowlings meet..... don't worry too much about the gap, maybe a little filler. Spitfire engine cowlings are a **** fit, none of them go on the same, and there is always a gap somewhere (trust me on this). Sometimes a 'light technical tap' is required to make them fit. So as i said before, i wouldn't worry too much. Mat. -
This one is for the bomb heads.... above is an image of the GBU-12's that will be hanging off a USAF F-16, i've seen lots of different pictures of the bombs.... However i was wondering if this was correct/possible. Thanks Mat

Here are the first photos, sorry about the quality... SNIPER XR pod and again GBU-12's GBU-38 JDAM's AIM-120 These need a light wash on the grey, and a dirty wash on the green 'dumb' bits (+decals) More to follow..... When i get round to it

I've done this as a motivational aide. As motivation is something i'm sadly lacking (ask the people who i work with!!). Anyway, I'm doing this kit as a 52 FW a/c from the op telic era. so far, i've got the kit, hasegawa weapons set D, Eduard boarding ladder, Shull24's SNIPER pod, GBU-38's and the BRU-57 (on order) and the Afterburner Decal sheet 'The Big 22'. I should have most of the ordanance done later on tonight, so i'll post some pics then. Any help/comments appreciated. Mat.

as the title suggests i'm after a drop tank for an F-18E.... Just need one for under the wing, thanks. Mat
-
Off i go to the trade board, thanks for the help. Mat.
-
Does anybody know if the drop tanks on the F-18E are the same as the tanks on a F-16 (Not the center line, but wing tanks)... If they are different, where can you get them from? Many thanks, Mat

If anyone ever needs a reference for Mike, i'd be glad to tell you how much of an outstanding trader he is. Communication was second to none. The kit came well boxed (and quickly), no damage what-so-ever. I can't really do him justice (i'm not that good at english). But needless to say, A++++++++++++++ most definately a safe bet. Mat.
