  1. Hi Many thanks. If I was to purchase the beast in 1:32nd simple question Trump or Tam? Been offered the Tam Black Nights @£106 anybody got a 1:32 for sale?
  2. OK I am starting a new project for FSX and I need a 3D referance model. I also like accuracy and detail. The 1:32nd Kits are far too expensive for what they are and full of errors to pay that ammount of money so- 1:48 seems a good compromise. Question and opinions - In this scale there are a few kits so is the Hasegawa worth the extra? Hobbyboss or Revel or any other brand. What would be the best £ for £? Regards
  3. In my experiance (although more for FSX and CAD stuff for game development) I will wait and see what others make of the kit. No offence but too many times has somthing been praised at first but untill all the short commings and errors are pointed out by people that know the aircraft rather than be impressed by the number of (how shall we say - mildly inaccurate parts?) then I will have a look in the cold light of day. But as they guy's point out - any pics? Done a dry run? Compared with rivals? I guess like most of the stuff bolting from that stable it would need a good jockey and trainer to
  4. It would seem "par for the course" if you take their previous updates and re-tooled kits into account - SU27 for a start - 2 after market producers ripped off by copying (badly) replacement parts. If you are going to "copy" a complete kit then at least do a bit of reserch regarding the original's errors and try and make good. Guess that most do not care. I for one would like to know from an authority on the subject if the revel kit is better and can make a more accurate showpeice taking into account of after market add-on's. After all you can get 2 or 3 Revel kits for the price of a badly copi
  5. The other thing about the Trump Flanker is that the main gear elo's are totally incorrect. The kit mounts them from the side of the engine intake and the side of the sponson. In fact the gear is mounted to the floor of the gear bay and the side extension is a sort of radius rod with various linkages to turn and pull in the elo when it is retracted. Not as they have modelled it with a beam mount.
  6. Try Hannant's UK. Got the F O P set about 2 months ago. The point is - do not trust the "online" stock report. I orderd that along with the full stencel by Berg. What arrived was the Berg stencils and also the LH Stencels which they reported as "sold out" Phoned them up and set the LH set back and recieved the FOP sunrise to sunset two days later. They are probably the best source for the UK but their stock control system sucks. Also the possibly will have a set in the shop at Hendon. But I believe the do ship globally.
  7. All we need now is for Revel to re-release the Tonka in 1:32nd again and make it available
  8. Thanks Ken, Just to decide now - up or down!
  9. Interesting, Thanks for the reply's. looks like that FOD guard has been wired up! OK second question - as a compromise is their any instance where they might be only partially deployed? B.T.W. Chris the new tool Flanker still definatly needs your sets. Why bother with the Aries stuff to improve a model but then use kit parts for corrected details that are still not up to scratch? I also noticed that a SU30MKK is listed at Trump. Perhaps while you are working on the canopy for the "C" it might be a good idea to also do a version with an offset IRST - also a version for the SU27. That way mod
  10. I have the Aries and Zacto kits for the Trump Flanker B (new tooled version) and I am building it basically for referance so I can finish my updated models for FSX including the other Flankers I released some time ago through another publisher. The question is - Does the external etched set from Eduard have mesh FOD gaurds or are they relief etched? I ask as I wish to have the gaurds in the ground position rather than retracted but also would like to be able to see through them to reveal the detail in the intake. I believe the mesh was pretty dense but you should still be able to view what is
