Painting job is near finish, I've some retouch to make and after I could make the weathering.

Painting work in progress. I've used Gunze H316 for primer and after sanded the primer with micromesh 6000 I 've sprayed Alclad. Gunze H11 for White part

Kasatka you're right and wrong : The Esci Tu-22 have too many incorrect things to correct all The model was made in 1982 and despite the general caption of the Tu-22 all the model is wrong ! :blink: Reactor , dorsal fin, empenage general dimension etc... so you have the choice : build a totaly scratch model or build the Esci kit. I'm not abble to do a totaly scratch Tu-22 so I've choose the Esci. But I know and I deplore all the mistakes Esci made, I hope Trumpeter will produce a good Tu-22 and maybe we'll have a good Tu-22.

The Tu-22 is ready for painting after a big sanded work... The model is polished (micromesh 4000 and micromesh 6000, cotton + Tamiya compound) Jeff the sheme is a Russian one all metal and white part

Thanks for your interest I'm working on the Jet exaust, I've to refine them using scalpel : I've used Humbrol Metal Cote Polisheed Steel and for weathering : pastel mix with water

Thanks for your comments Backfire I add some filling to the canopy using Mr Surfacer : Surfacer is very good for filling I use this two tools for applying. After sanding with sanding water paper 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000 micromesh 4000 the model was polished with Tamiya compound

Hello The project insn't died ! I'm working again on my Tu-22, this is the end of the sanding stage and I now prepare the paint. The canopy have received a Klir treatment I've add some scratchbuilding part on the undercarriage
