So may of these aircraft I recall from my childhood and the 72 bomb comp , dad was a nav instructor from the 93rd and F models
-
I can confirm , 2 b-52e models 56-0651 and 0653 assigned to the 6th strategic aerospace wing . 0653 is my dads jet on its way to Spain as a load training aircraft , their reward as crew of the quarter . 0653 is all dressed up and on her way to compete in the RAF bomber command competion in 1960

And not a tall tail b-52, bit markings for the H model D-21 Carriers would be cool.

I have always wanted to do a RB/B-52B conversion . New wing tanks , different main gear wheels , the 20mm tail gun and perhaps a recce pod . Maybe in tbe era of 3d printing somebody can come to the rescue

Would love to see these marking . 6th SAW walker AFB New Mexico . As a side note would love it if someone would do a RB/B-52B conversion. thanks

A couple of words on this topic . Yes it was a window on all the tall tails . Per DAD ( a B-52 bomb/ nav , all the tall tails had the windows . Later in their lives they were covered over . In practice most navs covered it with a curtain as it made viewing the radar screen difficult . Starting with the G Boeing for rod of the window. the other word is a request , decals for a 6th SAW B-52E Walker AFB and a 93 BW B-52F Castle AFB . Love the natural metal era tall tails Scott

Per my understanding Per dad , each b-47 base had a jettison collar zone , it was a combat crew currency requirement . Think if it like a drop zone. in reality the RATO was really only needed by B-47s on reflex alert in the UK and Spain . Most photos seem to confirm the reflex alert birds had the RATO collars attached

Kursad Do you have any any idea on how to replicate the built in RATO panels on The early B models? Perhaps someone could design a conversion for an early B .
-
Any updates on the release of the 135 general markings and data in 1/72. looking to do a early short tail 135 thanks scott

Anyone have any knowledge of the Skybolt program ? In particular the 2 different nose cone types ? What was the production configuration ?
-
The buff had a couple of tail gun configurations . As built the G moved the gunner forward , and he operated the tail gun remotely , the actual armament was still 4 50 caliber machine guns. The H changed the G armament to a single 20mm Gatling gun remotely operated

I have access to the Travis AFB museum D if ya need any help
-
Let me know if ya need any help im a 10 FE at Travis scott
-
I’m hoping they correct the tail gun . maybe we could see some hound dogs and quails for a early G . Hmmm
-
All of the tall tails would be great. natural metal and camo .
-
Mine had no decals
-
And my point is a some accuracy , if ya wanna buy a b-29 kit and call it a b-52 , enjoy , it’s still not a b-52
-
While we can get around the straklets, and even some of the nose shapes . Tbe simple fact is the tail gun is wrong , and is very obvious . It’s a tall tail tail gun with a faired over canopy . That’s the major glaring error . The tail gun and the movement of the gunner up front was a distinctive feature .

I’m in Vietnam era black belly or , maybe earlier SAC markings ?

-
Perhaps the c-119 corona recovery birds ?
-
I agree , the problem for the H it’s been around so long and been modified so much you have to pick a time frame and stick with it , or offer different antenna fits based on time frame

I tried to explain maybe the tomahawks should be included for display with their GLCM set
