LF 1/48 SWISS F-5E DECAL SPARES
aim9guy replied to aim9guy's topic in The Spares Box - add scale to your title
Hi Larry, I've got a couple F-14D Hasegawa sheets, F-15E Tiger Meet sheet (2 Bobs I think), A-7E Hasegawa sheet with USS Midway mkgs (The shark mouth)., F-102 sheet, maybe a few others. If none of those interest you, I'm willing to pay a fair price for them. Thanks, Kyle -
1/48 F-5E swiss decals. I believe Revell or Monogram offered the F-5 in Swiss markings and these are the only game in town? Partial is fine as long as NAT. insignias are intact. Can trade or will pay outright for them. Thanks, Kyle

Those dry spells can really be great times for learning. Roam different internet sites, look at new techniques, buy a few model mags/reference mags and relax. Don't worry if you don't touch plastic for a while. When you come back, you see that you are fired up to try new techniques, and your skills will have grown. Good luck! Kyle

I'll have to look into the Yellowhammer sheet, but yeah, i believe it's a retro sheet, because it's hi viz markings. There's no diagonal bar down the forward fuselage. Thanks, Kyle

It's actually the Last of TOMCATS 3 sheet. I'm building it for a gentleman that has retired from the squadron and wants a particular plane. Thanks for your reply. Kyle

Looking for the Vf-213 Final cruise sheet in 1/48 scale for the F-14. Two bobs made this sheet and also Hasegawa released a kit in these markings...both are out of production. Thanks, Kyle

Hello! A couple quick tip about sanding, filling, etc. Don't go wacking away with the sandpaper/file before first really looking at what needs to be done. You might make it worse. As for the bump on the nose, try sanding with a sandintg stick, or even using a popsickle stick to create a level surface to sand. If there is a depression there, I use a little super glue...dab it on, let it dry then re-sand, it's great for tiny seams, depressions and the like. A also use foam pads you can find in hardware painting sections. The light grey ones actually polish the finish, and I can really tell i

Thanks, Keith. That's what I needed to know. I just finished one with all the other goodies, just never used the superbug set. Take care, Kyle

I'm looking to build the Monogram B-58, with all the aftermarket goodies, I see the Super Bug Cockpit set, but could not tell what all it includes. Does it include replacement hatches, or do you have to salvage the kit ones? Thanks for any comments, Kyle

It's great kit that rewards careful effort. My pods to wing seam was a nightmare, but I found a little trick. I used aluminum duct tape used by AC guys. It's stiff and works well. I used a little dark metallic wash to "tint" the tape a bit to blend it in. Kyle
