Here it is, the finished product. I started this kit over a year ago, worked on it off and on,a nd I think the end result turned out quite well. I think it is something when you can take a kit that was developed in the 1950's and turn it into something like this. I hope you like it.

Hope you like. This will, hopefully, go on my desk at Bell Helicopter.

It is an old Revell kit from the 1950's. It is approximately 1/40th scale. The build isn't too bad, but you have to remember this model was designed at a time when model kits were toys. So, it has retractable landing gear, moving control surfaces and moving gear doors.

I have always like the looks of the FSD Hornets. I always wanted to build the "red one", prototype number six, used for spin recovery testing. I need to do a lot more work to it before its ready. I deced to paint the red on the wings to get my lines. I have discovered that red is hard to paint. Hope you like it, I will post more as progress continues.
