  2. As far as ice flaking off the Shuttle, someone mentioned watching the old Saturn V rockets, launching the Apollo missions, and how tons of ice fell off. Yes, but the concern with the Shuttle is the thermal tiles, which are exposed. Ice or insulation hitting the critical tiles can...well, we know what happened back in February of 2003. Apples and wristwatches!
  3. What about Eagle Strike? I have their decals for the VMFA-451 Bi-centennial bird, sheet # EG48112. Can I trust these decals to be accurate?
  4. Hey, I've got decals for the VMFA-451 Bicentennial Phantom, too. Can't wait to get ahold of a 1/48 J model Phantom. I'm building an E model for this GB. Can't wait to see pics of the progress, and the finished bird.
  5. Hey Darwin: As I was reading about your trials and tribulations, I thought back to part of Swanny's website, where he uses Krylon gloss black paint as a primer under Alclad metalizing lacquers. Have you ever thought of decanting some gloss white spray paint into a 35mm film cannister? It's already the proper consistency, and the Krylon lacquers dry in an amazingly short period of time. Or, like Sarge said, paint it flat, and just future the daylights out of it. Mitch
