  1. I am wondering if anyone here uses the "Plamokojo Vortex Stirrer Turbo High-Speed Model kit Paint Mixer Hobby-Tool PMKJ020". How is it to use? Any problems? Does it vibrate/move/slide on the workbench from oscillating? What's the best way to "anchor" it down? Currently on Ebay for $61.63 from Japan. More expansive on Amazon. Scott CNJC-IPMS
  2. Here are sprue shots of the new 1/48 Harrier from UMa. (Unfortunately the site is not in English) 1/48 UMa AV-8B Harrier II Plus

  7. I was looking over the instructions and the sprues and noticed two parts that are not used. The part(s) are A56. The two square parts above the wheels to the right of the pilot. I have checked the B and C kits and they don't use these parts either. Does anyone know what these "square" parts are? Perhaps a future version will use them? Scott CNJC-IPMS
  8. Hi all! I'm going to be looking for a new large spray booth soon and I need some recommendations on what to get. First let me say that I only spray MM and ATOM Acrylics. I mostly build 1/48 aircraft of varying sizes. Here's what I am looking for in a spray booth: Twin fans. LED lights. The most important feature is the size I need. I would like a booth that is 22"- 30" wide, 15"-19" deep and 15" high. The booth has to be big enough to hold a 1/48 modern fighter kit (F-15, F-22, MIG-25) or a 1/48 B-25 size model. I also build 1/72 size models (B-17, P-3 Orion

  10. I just got an Academy 1/48 P-38 kit and the main landing gear struts were broken beyond repair. I need the main struts (parts E15, E16) from this kit, any boxing. I don't want to use the SAC metal ones so please don't ask. If anyone has the gear struts from the 1/48 Academy P-38 kit (parts E15, E16) and can help me out, please Email me. Thanks. Scott vomacka@aaahawk.com

  12. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions. I appreciate all your efforts! I spent a few hours yesterday looking into lot's of cheap airbrushes on Ebay and Amazon. I am looking into the Gaahleri Ghad-39 airbrush. This seems to be a close clone/copy of a Iwata HP-C. I think it might be what I am looking for spraying Badger (FAST drying) primer. Gaahleri Ghad-39 (Also the same price on Ebay) Ebay Gaahleri Ghad-39 Scott CNJC-IPMS
  13. I need a cheap airbrush to shoot Badger primer with. I have two Iwata brushes, but don't want to use them for primer. So I need another airbrush for ONLY badger acrylic primer. This is what I'm looking for... Cheap (Under $50). Gravity feed. Has a .5 needle/nozzle. Performs similar to an Iwata HP-CS. Obviously, easy to clean. Will be used ONLY for Badger acrylic primer (Stynylrez). Did I mention cheap? (Under $50). Please provide a Ebay/Amazon link with your recommendations so I can see what the brushes are like.
  14. I'm going to try some Stynylrez under the Ammo/One Shot label. But I am confused about the recommended needle size. Badger Stynylrez says .5 needle. Ammo One Shot says .3 needle. Both recommend the same pressure, 20-20psi. I am using a Iwata CS Eclipse airbrush with a .3 needle. Hopefully I will not get any tip dry/clogs. Any advice on what needle to use? Thanks. Scott CNJC-IPMS P.S Did I spell Stynylrez right? What a weird name....
  15. Has anyone heard any news about the upcoming Italeri 1/48 F-35C kit? According to Scalemates, it is supposed to be released in 2024. Hopefully it will be released by December? A nice Christmas gift... Scott CNJC-IPMS
  16. I am currently building the 1/48 Monogram F-117 kit and will need to replace the kits HUD with something else. What are my options? I don't know if anyone makes a resin (3D printed) F-117 HUD. I'm not sure about PE either. Thanks. Scott CNJC-IPMS

  19. I just got the Two Bobs 1/48 F-117A "Back from the dead" sheet (48-279). I wanted to do the "Dark gray" scheme for 86-0835. However I am confused about what color to use? Two Bobs says to use "FS36118 Gunship Gray". However this does not seem correct according to these pics... The color looks lighter than GG. I was thinking of using LGG/DGG or Haze gray instead. Does anyone know what the FS number of this "gray" is? Thanks for your help. Scott CNJC-IPMS
  20. The 1/72 P-3C kit could use a lot of help. First it needs corrected wheel wells. Second it needs all the modern antennas upgrades and the nose IR turret. P-3C Orion Antennas.. Scott CNJC-IPMS
  21. I will be starting my 1/48 Monogram/Pro Modeller F-117 soon. I wanted to know what I can do about the cockpit to improve it. Is there any resin still available for this kit? Also, perhaps I should at least replace the wheels with a set of resin "late wheels"? I plan on painting it in the gunship gray scheme on the Two Bobs "48-279 F-117A Return from the Dead" sheet. F-117A Return from the Dead I will also be replacing the GBU-10's with better ones from my weapons stash. Any other suggestions on building kit? Thanks for any help and advice you can give me to impr
  22. I need a pair of 1/48 Bazooka rocket tubes for my 1/48 ICM P-51B. You see the kit has flashed over holes in the wings for the tube launchers, but they are not included in the kit. The only other kits that have the P-51 Bazooka tubes are the Hasegawa, Testors and the Eduard kits, which I don't have. Hasegawa... Eduard... Testors... If anyone has these kits kits and can help me out with one set of Bazooka launchers, please email me (vomacka@aaahawk.com). Thanks for your help Scott
