  1. HI - http://www.f117reunion.org/F117%20About.htm - Scroll down to the bottom This drawing is from the book: Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk by Robert F. Dorr World Air Power Journal Special Airospace Publishing LTD. ISBN 1 874023 55 7 Appears to be available at Powells: http://www.powells.com/cgi-bin/biblio?inkey=1-1874023557-0 The actual drawing in the book is a color two-page fold-out. Hope that helps.
  2. Some details: http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=1943058 : "The F-14, based in Virginia, crashed near Key West in the Gulf of Mexico on Oct. 3, 2002, during a training mission. Both crew members ejected safely."
  3. Silly question - but would the runway lines be THAT distorted in the pilot's canopy ? It seems to reflect a line that isn't there... The only white line is the one that curves away from the plane. It seems like a distortion of that amount would be hazardous to the operation of the aircraft.
  4. I've got a couple - mostly "sky", but also a couple of tarmac or runways (Boeing Field, Seattle WA; and Stead Field at the reno air races). What are you looking for? some of mine might have racers in the background (see attached reduction ) I'd be happy to take some specific shots If I can arrange it locally. Ric
  5. Does this help? the pic also comes in a 6 mp version if you need it. I have a couple more angles also. Ric
  6. I think there are pictures of this A-10 (Including pilot) here: http://www.ww2aircraft.net/forum/post-31901.html
  7. Thanks - I'm a little concerned about the Quality control (and Lifespan) on the decals - (Like what happens to the glow if you use a softening/setting solution?) I might have to try EL sheet - or paint. Any other suggestions?
  8. I watched Final Countdown again, and couldn't see a sequence there - figures that it might be in TopGun - Thanks for the reminder. I'll have to search through "Executive Decision" - just in case - seems most of the externals where at dusk there also - but I'm not sure about the "realism". Very Clear - Thanks for the details!!
  9. Thanks Gerry! CAM's site says there IS a Glow-in-the-dark Formation light set for several planes including the F-14 - that might be a real timesaver ! Has anyone got any feedback on the "glow" on the Cam decals ? (Does it glow bright?? Ric
  10. Hi, I'm trying to lay out the lighting for a 1/32 Tamiya F-14a Tomcat, and need some help. 1. Which Lights blink? Red Tail (Left) Red Tail (Right) Red (upper/lower) Left Wing Root Green (upper/Lower) Right wing Root Red on Chin pod 2. What is the pattern/timing of the blink is it one blink per second, or a heart-beat type Blink-Blink-Pause? 3. If the red and Green lights blink - do they alternate, or are they synched? or are the completely independent? Also - has anyone done anything to light the Formation panels (either using Electroluminescent film, or glow-in-the-dark paint ?
