  1. Here's another classic VF-211 scheme photographed a week or so before being scrapped. Of interest is the mix of VF-211 and VF-24 markings. http://www.airfighters.com/photo/93589/M/USA-Navy/Grumman-F-14A-Tomcat/162588/
  2. For me, it was sometime in the fifties when I asked my Mommy if we were all gonna die in an atomic war.

  5. I posted them on line that night. Someone came down the line asking for photos. One guy spoke up and they took him away.
  6. I have received information from a reliable source, the F/A-18F we lost yesterday at NAS Fallon, was Blacklion 211, 166637. http://www.airfighters.com/photo/89394/M/USA-Navy/Boeing-F-A-18F-Super-Hornet/166637/
  7. http://www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/article/20120221/NEWS/120221010/Pilot-jet-187th-Fighter-Wing-overrun-runway I was there! The crash happened right in front of me. Although I concur with the findings, I still question why the pilot never popped his speed brakes.

  12. BTW, just spent some quality time with some of our war fighters and it's the consensus of opinion this major USAF draw down of air assets is to keep the F-35 program afloat.
  13. Has there been any mention of all the new support equipment required by the F-35. I know carriers are huge, but sounds like a lot more deck/hangar bay gear will be going to sea.
  14. OK, I have started to list the 3500 Viper slides I intend to sell. Here is a link to my auctions. I will be adding about 100 per day for the next week to ten days and then again next month and so on until the are all gone. http://www.aircraftslides.com/auction/AuctionList.aspx?lst=5&pageIndex=1&order=1&cat=34 If the link does not take you to my auctions, simply type F-16 in the search window. You have to be registered with the auction site in order to bid. Cheers, Dave
  15. Airfighters.com has just added a new feature which allows me to reorganize my photo albums. So, here is a link to my Tomcat Album organized from earliest to near last delivered.
