  1. Haven't done much modelling the last few years, and I've been looking through a lot of builds lately, of the Tomcats that have come out in the past few years (while I wasn't building any!)---I don't think any has been praised as "clearly the best one ever"----that said, I'm wondering what one "has the best odds of looking good when built". A master modeler can deal with any issue in any kit---that's not me! I'm looking for one where I won't have to spend 100 hours trying to get parts to fit. I would basically want to "slap it together out of the box, and be proud of it". Skills are rusty,
  2. Christmas is early this year! Big Shout out to Bob @ Victory Models. He must be ready to ship the kits along with the free gift (weapons sets) for those with pre-orders. It's been so many years I forgot I had even ordered from him...Thank You
  3. Hello! I finished recently my favourite soviet interceptor, the Mig-31 Foxhound. The AMK kit is a real gem, i used only a few aftermarket items, Eduard Brassin wheels, Quickboost K-36DM seats, HGW wet stencils, Begemot markings and Master metal pitot. I hope you'll like it! :)
  4. Here's my latest completion: AMK's 1/48 MiG-31BS 'Foxhound' with metal upgrade set for the undercarriage and nose pitot. The main colour is Mr Paint and the decals are from the kit. It's a great kit, but not perfect. More details here: https://jonbryon.com/amk-1-48-mikoyan-mig-31bs-foxhound/ Thanks for looking Jon
  5. Hi all! Here is my 1/48 AMK Kfir C7, from the Arava Guardians Squadron, circa 1990. I used Master Metal Pitot and Aires seat, and the decals were OOB. The decals were actually quite nice, I had no issues with them at all. The kit really fits nicely, and considering I just built the Tamiya Tomcat previously, saying that means something. It is not in the same league as the Tamiya Tomcat as far as fitment is concerned, but everything fit great except the nose assembly to the forward fuselage. There was a step on both sides that I had to deal with. I am very happy with h
