stuflyer
Any good? There's a review over at MM but it's not that informative. Anyone built one? Cheers
flanker27
I have the 1/48 F-15J in my stash, havent build yet but it looks good with engraved panel lines. Not sure about the fitting though.
Randy Wise
On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 7.5. You'll need to replace the cockpit. The Revell-o-gram is better. Heck, I even liked the Academy kit just a bit more. To each his own. Randy
ikar
I remember when the Tamiya F-15 was the first 1/48th kit out. It's on a par with their A-10 kit, needs work. I doubt that they redid the kit much since then.
Alpagueur
Not so good. Differently from Hasegawa and Academy (left/right-forward fuselage, rear main fuselage) assembly is horizontal (upper/lower fuselage, with the forward/rear fuselages jopined together). This way you have to putty/sand/rescribe in very visible zones. U/C legs and wheel wells are poor, missiles and fuel tanks too. A positive point is that the kit owns all the three 600 gal. tanks (Hasegawa and Academy put two). General shape is ok, but if you need detail you have to get Hasegawa kit. Same considerations for the Tamiya F-15C. HTH, regards Luca
