Dave Williams
Looks like a good choice. I'm not familiar with Mustang Models. Where are they out of and what else do they do?
Wild Weasel78
Thanks  ,the Mustang Pit was for small Money to buy on ebay . I use many Resin Pits for my Sabres ,i have Aires ,Verlinden,True Details (ex-KMC) ,CMK and Legend . The Best ist KMC/Verlinden ,Legend is badley and not to use :P , Aires 50%50 and CMK is tricky ..........hope that Mustang Pit is good :D . I use the Kit Decals for a Korean War RF Sabre ,i make the little mistake on Fuselage removed and the rest ist oob. A little bit Wire here and here ......... :P greetings Michael
ChernayaAkula
Very cool choice! Didn't even know there was a recon-variant of the Sabre.
Wild Weasel78
Hi all I build first the Pit and make it ready for Primer. This Intake is not correct for a RF/F-86F-30 Sabre. Cute it and make filling with platic sheet. The Guns must be filling with plastic rounds, the RF-86F-30 hat no Guns . Cocpit Test and he is ok :D Whit a mini saw and a cutter remove the place who cames alter the cameras. Test and ok . Thanks for looking ,greetings Michael
Wild Weasel78
Hi Guys Big update today ,my Firefly FR.5 for the FAA GB is finshed and i have more time for the Recon Sabre. In the last days i make the Pit ready for Priming and basic Color. The Hasegawa Kit hat a nice Intake but i must the Bottem from the Pit sanding befor install on the Intake/fuselage . Whit a Mini Drill Machine is this job fast ready. I Color the basic Gunze but not black ,it is to dark in this scale. With drybrushed i make the Instrumets on the Panel ,for the detailes i use a 5.0 paintbrush The Camera resin parts glue with superglue in place Filling the Guns with Tamiya putty and glue wings and Ruder on the Fuselage. The next is sanding and filling the Sabre. Thanks for looking. greetings Michael
Gene K
Thanks ,the Mustang Pit was for small Money to buy on ebay Micheal, Could you give a little more info on the Mustang Models pit, please? I couldn't find it on ebay or by Googling. Is there company info in the instructions? Now that you've used it, how do you rate it against the other pits you have? Wild Weasel78
Hi Gene Mustang Models is from Korea ,i buy it for ca 3 Years on ebay . I have a Adress on the Box but i have this Set never seen at this time on ebay ,i dont no why. A Internet Adress is not on the Box......! The Instrumet Panel is very nice ,good clocks to drybrushed. The Detailes are good ,nice is the part back from the Seat, not good is the place Seat to Panel for the Stick. To install the Stick he must a little bit sanding . For install the Pit in the Hasegawa Fuselage must the bottem from the Pit half moon sanding to glue on the Hasegawa Intake. I say the Pit hat Place 3 ,better is Verlinden and KMC /True Details. greetings Michael
