Barneydhc82
The Big Beaver diorama certainly deserves the award received at the Nats but I have to comment on the type of engine in the narative in todays post. The Beaver was powered by the Pratt and Whitney R-985 Wasp and not the "Right" 985. The interior is absolutely beautiful and quite accurate and the animation with the engine and lights make for a very realistic display. Congratulations on the award. gbritnell
Being one of my favorite civilian aircraft I too had built this kit many years ago. I found it by accident while going through the classified section of Popular Science magazine. I was pleasantly surprised at the accuracy for such a rudimentary kit. That's a truly impressive build and well deserving of the award. A diorama should tell a story and this one does that exactly. I don't mean to hijack your thread but here's the ARC link to a piece of artwork I did that has somewhat the same feel as your work. http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....8&hl=beaver gbritnell
