matrixone
This is the 1/48 scale Tamiya jeep I built recently, I needed a short break frm the Focke-Wulf's I am working on. The model was built O.O.B. and I used Model Master enamels to paint it with. Matrixone
no_man_army
youve made a real good job of that especially considering how small it is are you going to add some paint chipping to the little beauty? nice work James.
matrixone
Thanks James! No plans right now to add any paint chipping to this model, the few photographs I have seen of the WWII jeeps show them to get a little dirt and mud on them but not much paint chipping is visable. Since the pics were taken of this model I have added a little more dirt to the rear wheels and it looks better now, the wheels were too clean looking before. no_man_army
nice, are you using Mig pigments? i swear by them they add so much realism
matrixone
James, My jeep was weathered with simple dry brushing and my airbrush, but I DID use some of the Mig weathering powder on the drivers and passengers floor board area. I wanted those places to look like they had been exposed to muddy boots. I agree the Mig products are very good and will be using them more often but since I build mostly aircraft models I don't need to use very much of them on each model. no_man_army
that dry brushing has turned out really well, i cant do it that good i usually end up using too much paint
