Darren Roberts Posted December 30, 2010 Share Posted December 30, 2010 From what I've seen, all the SAC gear is is the kit gear molded in white metal. So, any problems with kit gear get transfered to the metal gear. BTW, I'm not saying casting the kit gear is a bad thing. Many modelers would like the extra strength of metal gear. I will admit I really don't see the point in most instances, though. I've been modeling for over 35 years and I've never had kit gear fail...unless of course I accidentally caused it! :) Quote Link to post Share on other sites
