crowe-t
Here is a great site for detailed pictures of the various shuttle missions. http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images...ttle/index.html BTW, Airfix is re-releasing the 1/144 Shuttle/stack kit this year. IMO the Airfix is a more accurate Shuttle/stack kit, not to say the Revell shuttle/stack kit is a bad kit. The new Revell of Germany shuttle kit has an excellent decal sheet which is in itself worth the price of the kit. I'm currently building a Revell 1/144 shuttle/stack as STS-133 but will be building an Airfix stack next.

crowe-t
catfan, Did you buy the shuttle kits yet? If so which kits and what scale did you get?
catfan
nice kitty looks very soft. i have been a shuttle nerd since i was 4 years old and i have built my share when i was younger. but now i have. the revell of Germany shuttle with the boosters in 1/144 scale and the revell shuttle with the book. in 1/72 scale i have the Columbia shuttle that came out in i think 1981. and will get in 1/72 scale the shuttle with the boosters thats coming out then ill start building them. i love the shuttle i grew up with it. and when the last mission flys off the pad i will feel like i have lost a great Friend. i build the models in tribute to all of the astronauts that strap them selfs in and go for it. PS DISCOVERY I AM PROUD OF YOU GOOD JOB
K2Pete
Here's another wonderful NASA site ... http://mediaarchive.ksc.nasa.gov/search.cfm Click on the "Space Shuttle" field at the top and select the Orbiter you want and then in the field on the left, type in the location you like to view ... such as SSME installation. This site has just about every photo taken ... and it's very easy to spend a few hours just looking at the images. Pete
dmk0210
OK so i am plaining on building models of each shuttle as they are retired. but where can i get pictures that are detailed enough that i can see it from the launch and when they do the back flip in space showing the under side. and i am looking for space shuttle discovery as it is like right now Search Youtube for HD videos of your subject (like "STS-133" for example). Using advance search lets you search for only HD videos if you wish. You can use various sites and tools to download the vids (like http://keepvid.com/) and then get screen shots from them using your player (I use Megacodec).
