This is the mighty Banana Bomber seen in the markings of 237 OCU during the 1980's. Finished as a clean build, Buccs were not often seen in this factory fresh state, so I may well add weathering and some oil stains in the future.

The load represents the war role that 237 OCU had. XV352 was scrapped in the early 1990's after a flying career that saw it in action during the 1991 Gulf War, and the nose section now resides at the RAF Manston History Museum near Ramsgate, Kent (UK).

I added the Eduard cockpit set, but wish I hadn't as not much can be seen. The kit is pretty much OOB but I cut out two of the wing-fold inspection doors as these were often left off the jet.

The fit of the fuselage was awful. The nose fitted where it touched - and this is AFTER bonding and clamping;

Apart from the vigorous and extensive sanding, it was a very enjoyable build!
