The Madhatter
Does anyone have a tip for removing Future safely from clear plastic parts without ruining the clarity of the part? I am finishing a build after it being on the bench for about a year or more now, and I have come to the canopy. However, in my infinite wisdom and lack of understanding, I had painted the frame with Testor's Metalizer and then dipped it in Future. As I said though, this was over a year ago I look at the part now and it was really poorly done my me and had run marks and basically didn't look clear at all. So I need to remove it and start again. Can you even get year old Future off? Is it a case of once dried on it stays on or will Windex still be able to break it down. Does Windex do anything to the clear plastic or will it go dull? thanks you for any help or advice you can offer MH
Netz
Windex, Simple Green, or pure ammonia will take it off without marring your canopy. Curt
B-17 guy
Windex or simple, however I've had ammonia heavily frost a canopy, was not happy about that one.
