phantom
Got a crazy idea. If I am going to build one Hasegawa F-4F then I might as well build two. The plan at first was to do a JG-71 R red and black special scheme. But the kit did not come with the decals. I think I bought the kit that way several years ago. Sure the photo is for the JG-73 I am all ready building but who cares. Only have so much storage space in photobucket after all. So, the crazy idea part is use the kit decals from a Revel F-4F, do both models in flight and combine those two with two older Hasegawa F-4Fs in flight. This is going to be BIG Jerry!!!!! tobiK
Uahhh!!! Now a double build from Mr. "supersonic-speed" modeller himself! Great idea and it will look awesome I guess!

phantom
Thanks, that is HALF the set up.
RKic
I'm liking these most recent camo schemes. Do they have specific walkway markings? Anything akin to the orange and yellow stripes on the Norm 82 machines?
phantom
No, grey lines. Pretty simple compared to the Norm 82 scheme. Pretty faint too.
RKic
Cool. Thanks for the info.

tobiK
The grey JG74 phantom...good choice! So we get a fair balance between the "R" and the boys in the southern states of Germany.
phantom
Now, one more to screw up the balance!
Crazy Snap Captain
That's a lovely scheme. Nice one.
phantom
Thanks, I like the "subtle" special schemes over the entire bloody plane paint schemes.
RKic
What are those stands that you're using? Do they just clip on? Since you're doing your quadro-display later, I'm assuming you didn't cut slots into the fuselage bottoms to insert a stand. Or did you?
phantom
Nope, those are old stands for a 1/72 Phantom. They slide into the engine exhaust. But they are not sturdy enough for long term 1/48 Phantoms. And yep, 4 on sticks for long term.
