Da SWO
What shade of grey should I use on a C-A Nightingale?
GW8345
For USN/USMC C-9's the grey was 16440 Gloss Gull Grey. Ref: Mil-Std-2161A and Mil-Std-2161A
bdt13
Per Dana Bell's USAF Colors and Markings in the 1990s the basic C-9A was FS 16473, Aircraft Gray. The USAF SAM C-9C was base color FS 16515 (Boeing Gray), FWIW.
KursadA
The actual McDonnell Douglas painting specs for the C-9A specify a McDonnell Douglas color (Douglas 3635), which is very close to FS16515.
