Delanie
Hi guys, My first post here, I love the build and weathering I hope mine will be as good, although I decided I like the 'pretty' CAG bird from the Black lions. I have one question for you folks; to be honest I've always thought of the Tomcat as being an interceptor rather than 'jack of all trades', I kind of figured that it had too a wide planform for bombing. So I decided I'd arm mine with just the air to air weapons however that leaves the 2 rear pylons empty I was thinking of including the Tarps pod especially after seeing the one above would this be a good fit? any suggestions? Welcome Delanie In the new F-14 book from Detail&Scale, there's a picture of a Tomcat that looks pretty cool with a TARPS and air-to-air ordinance (sidewinders and sparrows) and an AN/ALQ-167 ECM pod fitted under a single Phoenix rail. Messersch
Almost done with this Tomcat, lovely kit, so far sooooo good I have to say, I love it! I Can´t say the same thing about the D model from AMK, building actually but no wip yet here, maybe in the future upload the album, but for now, I feel a little upset with the AMK turkey, yes is a great model too but with some "details", those who have build the Tamiya and AMK will know what I´m talking about. And yes, some mishaps on the way with the tail, just paint again with some extra effort and done too, final photos soon, stay tuned folks, regards from Mexico City 😃
