Jason C-C
The D-3 also had the 'boat tail' extension for a life raft.
Steven Leeds
What models of Beaufighter and Mosquito would qualify if any...
Cadfael
The prototype Mosquito bomber didn't fly until 25 Nov 1940, the fighter prototype on 15 May 1941. The first operational sortie was a recce mission over France on 20 Sep 1941. The Beaufighter Mk IF went operational with 29 Sqn in Oct 1940. (That is if my sources a correct.)
