Midnight Storm
So I picked up my 2nd 1/72nd scale kit a few weeks ago, The mighty Raptor, the other being a P-3C, so this is very new territory for me! I Started up today, I'm building this side by side with two other kits so I can spray a good amount of white at the same time. I also believe this is the first Revell Raptor to be built on ARC. So go me. I'll be building this kit out of the box, a rare thing for me as well. While the kit comes will decals for 7... yes SEVEN aircraft, it does not how ever float my boat and I'll be using Two-Bobs decals to finish the model up. So off I go, and I shall re-turn with photos and lets hope I can finish this baby off in a few weeks. :o Edited April 5, 2008 by Midnight Storm

Midnight Storm
Well, you don't have to wait long. Here are a few of the intakes. I must add, they are very hard to swallow. Poor molds and a bad design will lead to alot of putty needed. Just take a look at the photos.

Dax
I don't build much 1/72, so correct me if I'm wrong, but that seat is pretty good for that scale, out of the box.
Aggressor Supporter
All right! Good to see someone starting on the new Revell Raptor kit. Good work so far and watching with interest.
ChernayaAkula
Now, that didn't take too long, did it? Be sure to check my in-box review thread again HERE. MrVark left some very good painting advice for the radome and nozzles. Looking forward to seeing this one complerted! I don't build much 1/72, so correct me if I'm wrong, but that seat is pretty good for that scale, out of the box. Yes, although I must say the seat in RoG's Viper looked a lot crisper. Maybe it's the plastic. This very light-coloured plastic seems to swallow details a bit. Midnight Storm
Arg... I ran out of putty and my local shop is out too, so now I gotta wait to finish up the intakes and exhaust, both have some nasty seams to fill. So since nothing else can be built till the white is sprayed on the parts needing putty, I dropped the flaps and built the burners in the UP & DOWN position. Very sweet of Revell to add that feature. Sorry for the crappolla photos but this white plastic is hard to get grab shots of. The flaps will also need some putty to get a perfect fit. The tail is just dry fitted in this photo. TomcatFanatic123
Nice work so far...looks like that kit will be giving you your fair share of headaches before you finish, though :).
