If I may, I'll continue with fresh photos of two Finnish Mi-8. The first one (Mi-8T "HS-1") was one of oldest Hips in FinAF inventory and thus also one of the first withdrawn from service while the second one is an Mi-8P (a WIP transport with square windows and code "HS-6").

Photos of the "HS-1" were taken inside a storage shelter of the Finnish Aviation Museum and since there was no lights inside the shelter and even the weather was quite gloomy, the photos are rather dark.

Kevan those thumbnails are very good ..its not often

that you get to see the inner working of a Helo posted here and seeing the deatils makes you see how

HUGE they really are on the inside...

Dragan those mi -17 and mi- 8MTV are GREAT....Its the first time I have seen Foreign forces Helos... :cheers:

Thanks for the Croatian Hip Pics Mario.

Those are particularly good reference for how the exhaust flows along and sticks to the fuselage. As you can see from my pics, the Croatian one I saw was quite clean.

a few photos of a VIP transport of none other than Mr. Vladimir Putin... actually, three identical helicopters he used to get to this years MAKS... anyone remembers the Monty Python bit "How not to be seen?"... "now, Mr. Putin has presented us with a poser...."
